C, which has me uber-bummed out about. I was looking forward to running up my credit card at the mega Macys and using my Cole Haan gift card to put a dent in a new pair of fabulous heels with Nike air technology in them. Eating at my favorite little French place. Spending time with my friend and seeing her new place in Brooklyn. But nooooooooo. I'm wondering if I'm being a huge baby by cancelling the trip - will the weather really be that bad? But I don't want to get stuck on a bus for hours and hours nor do I want to trek around the city in the winter wet nastiness. Although, last I heard Arjewtino was still going up to NY and if we went on the same bus then I would at least be entertained.* 1:30 pm update - just went to cosi (what an awesome day to venture out for food) and I was just wondering...when did we move into a noir film out of the 50s? driving rain? trenchcoats? wanting to drink scotch constantly?
*My soon-to-be new stepmom emailed me this morning to say she and Dad set a date for the wedding. Oh, and guess what, it's when I'm at my second big meeting of the year. They're trying to move it, which I really appreciate b/c I'd be really disappointed if I couldn't go. However, I feel slightly guilty that they're having to switch a date just b/c of me.
*I ran into Hey Pretty on the metro today - bloggers abound! Then saw a guy pass me on the street who used to date an old friend of mine. Who else will I run into today?
*I think I'll still go to Macy's this weekend and see what kind of damage I can do.
*Oh yeah, and I hate the metro with a passion. Along with thousands of other Red Line commuters. I realize I'm not original in this thought, but that doesn't make me any less passionate in my hate.
*If anyone tries to pinch me tomorrow if I'm not wearing green, they need to prepare to be smacked. Then mocked.
I have a few posts in the works more along the lines of regularly scheduled programming, so I'll have more time to work on them over the weekend I s'pose. Happy Friday and St. Patricks Day.

Awwwww - that sucks that you had to cancel your trip. I agree though, you should wait until it's a nicer weekend because right not it's CRAPPY in NYC. I looooove that Macy's! Is that the biggest store ever or what?????
Hey there, nice surprise running into you this morning. Alas, I was still in my early morning metro-survival daze, so I apologize if I wasn't friendlier. I was also rocking out to the Lily Allen. My latest guilty music pleasure.
carmen - it is a good one. get their credit card too b/c you get ridiculous savings passes all the time. all my jeans that come from macys i've never paid more than $25 for b/c of sales and savings passes.
hey pretty - it took me a minute to realize it was you, so i thought i'd say something before i got off the train. you were plenty friendly! i'm digging lily allen as well.
Despite the crap weather, I went out and bought a pair of shoes with seriously damaging heels...and I can wear stilettos, but these are killer. Definitely stand there (or lie there) holding a glass of something shoes...and I was shopping for flats. I swear.
that's when you know they are perfect - when you weren't looking for them and they find you. i love it when that happens! i found a pair of kate spade sunglasses this weekend for $50, so i had a bit of good shopping karma. and i definitely spent less here than i would have in NYC!
I hope you didn't run into anything but a good time this weekend. :)
